#LHHREUNION: Love Triangles are Square?

#LHHREUNION: Love Triangles are Square?

Against better judgement I watched the Love & Hip-Hop New York reunion this afternoon and I was not disappointed in the level of delusion and idiocy on my television screen.cdjilvluyaaabr8

One particular story line stands out and has stood out for the last two seasons and that’s the “square”(I call it the square love triangle because it’s comparable to an adult trying to stuff a square peg into a triangular opening, in other words it has issues) love triangle that is Peter Gunz, Amina Buttafly and Tara Wallace.

If you’re smart you’ve probably never heard of this show let alone these people. Peter Gunz is an old washed up rapper from the 90’s, Amina Buttafly is a washed up singer from a 90’s (could be 000’s I don’t know I actually never heard of the damn group until this show) girl group “Black Buddafly”, Tara Wallace is the washed up home-wrecking baby momma of Peter Gunz.

Peter was with Tara for 13 yrs, but he married Amina with whom he was only “working” with, while he was still smashing baby momma Tara. (This guy currently has ten children by four or five different women, Tara has three of his children, and Amina has two) His other children with the other women are all older than Tara and Amina’s children, which means he probably was with one or all (knowing this dude) of his baby momma’s while he was “with” Tara for those 13 years.

I feel Guilty but I don’t…F*$k it

I like Love RATCHET TV!

So I promised myself and hubby that I would make an effort to give up the type of television shows that contribute nothing but pure unadulterated fuckery to society.

Can I just be honest and say this shit is harder than my diet!

I know its wrong, but I can’t help myself. It’s entertainment right? Why can’t I enjoy the hot mess that is Love & Hip-hop Hollywood?

It’s comparable to a soap opera with real people, no one ever says soap opera’s perpetuate negative stereotypes of the people who are inspired by the stories, so why are we so hard on ratchet reality tv?

If you were ever forced to watch The Bold and the Beautiful at your grannies house back in the day, you know that, that show is ratchet as hell! At one point one of the main characters was dating another character, married his dad and had kids by his dad, slept with the dude again and thought one of the kids was his only to find out it was the dads WTF! If that shit ain’t ratchet I don’t know what is.

I get the feeling that soap opera’s are more acceptable because of the “packaging” of the story lines, but when you get down to the meat of it, the shit is ratchet tv too.

I feel like a fat kid sneaking cookies in the middle of the night, watching ratchet tv on my lunch break at work because I don’t want to feel judged by hubby. He doesn’t understand how hard it was going from having seven different trash television shows to now two and a half (Love & Hip-hop Hollywood, Basketball Wives LA & The Real Housewives of Atlanta) I say half because I think after this season Basketball Wives LA won’t be returning. I think I should be allowed these harmless vices, I also watch the discovery channel and get my learn on about space, nature and shit. I read books, I think I’m fairly cultured for a city girl who grew up in the “hood”.

Watching stupid people do stupid shit is entertaining to me, I’m sorry. I don’t want to be like any of the people, I don’t admire their lifestyles.  I honestly get a kick out of them making fools of themselves. I’m fully aware that is not very mature/cultured or Buddha like, but hey I’m not afraid to say I’m faaaaaaaaaaaaaar from perfect.

I think I’m a good person, I follow the rules that society has imposed on me via brainwashing (laws), and the education system. I deserve the right to sit down on a Sunday/Monday and watch bitches talk to shit to each other and throw bows without judgement.

I’m just saying, can I live?

Blood, Sweat & Heels: Racist Cabby? Prada Bags & Jail time

Bravo’s, Blood, Sweat & Heels is one of my reality show vices, on the latest episode of Broads with Egos, thinking their way more important then they are. One of the “stars” is arrested for failure to pay (or something like that) honestly I wouldn’t blog about this show if it hadn’t been for the comment that the woman made in her confessional.

She was flabbergasted that the cabby had the audacity to try to kick her out of his cab after a disagreement over where it was she needed to go. These were her words, “he treated me like I was some ghetto girl, like I don’t have a degree”, this is where my problem lies.

If indeed the cabby verbally assaulted her and tried to physically remove her from his taxi, he was dead ass wrong, point, blank, period! But her mindset as to why he was wrong for doing it to her is what bothers me, he had no right to talk to her in that way because “she’s a college graduate with degrees and a Prada purse”. Say word?

NO ONE deserves to be verbally or physically assaulted no matter what your educational background! I don’t care if the woman was the stereotypical gum popping, neck rolling “sistah” from Marcy Projects, no one deserves to be treated like their less than human.

I’ve found more and more that some black women with degrees have this elitist attitude that they now belong to a secret society of degree holding super heroes, that can’t be touched and the normal rules of society no longer are applied to them because they sat in a classroom and read some books and regurgitated the shit back to the professor, get the fuck outta here with that.

You’re probably thinking I’m mad at the comment because I don’t hold any degrees of higher education WRONG! I have three degrees, but who gives a shit! They don’t make me who I am and they damn sure don’t make me better than the next chick. But hey obtaining higher education doesn’t equate to having a higher regard for your fellow-man, it means now I can use this degree to make myself feel a higher level of importance and look down on others.

No More Tia & Tamera Mowry

So I’m kind of in my feelings over the announcement that my favorite celebrity twin sisters will not be renewing their Style Network E! (at this point I have no idea who owns the shit) reality series, “Tia & Tamera”.

I’m feeling used as fan, why? you may ask. Well honestly I’m not interested in that tv show “Instant mom” and I work a 9 to 5 and even if I didn’t I doubt if I’d be tuning in for the semi-obnoxious daytime talk show that Tamera is co-hosting. I enjoyed the inside look into the twins lives as women, mothers and wives. So the announcement is here and we the fans have to just deal.

I honestly don’t think its cool, they peddled yoga dvd’s,  lactation jizz, and stretch mark cream and leave us with nothing. Not a thank you for being great fans and supporting us (or at least some free dvd’s, lactation jizz or stretch mark cream, ijs), just some lame ass justification of not wanting to allow anything negative to come into their lives any longer and for us the fans to do the same.
